Iowa Brownies

Ingredients
Brownies
- 1/2 cup soft butter
 - 1 cup sugar
 - 16oz Hershey's syrup
 - 4 eggs
 - 1 cup flour
 
Topping
- 3/4 cup butter
 - 1 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1/3 cup milk
 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
 - Cream butter and sugar.
 - Slowly add syrup.
 - Add eggs one at a time.
 - Add flour. Beat until well blended.
 - Turn into greased 9x13" pan.
 - Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Insert a toothpick to determine doneness.
 - Combine first 3 topping ingredients in a saucepan.
 - Boil 1 minute then remove from heat.
 - Add chocolate bits and stir until melted.
 - Spread on warm brownies. Topping will harden in approximately 2 hours.
