Hamburger Pie

Note: if you want the potatoes to have a little tang, stir in some sour cream and/or a few softened cubes of cream cheese while mashing them.

  1. Brown ground beef with onions and some salt
  2. Add mushroom soup and milk, heat until thickened and/or bubbly
  3. Put in a pie shell that has been pre-baked at 350 for 15 minutes
  4. Top with shredded cheddar
  5. Top with mashed potatoes and smooth them out
  6. Sprinkle with smoked paprika
  7. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350. If you want the potatoes to slightly brown at their peaks, put foil on the edge of the crust the last few minutes to eek it from burning
