These became difficult to acquire in Seattle and so I made this recipe. The recipe is designed to be made in a large dry batch and then cooked to order.

Ingredients

  • 6 parts Cream of Wheat
  • 2 parts sugar
  • 1 part cocoa powder

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Sift all ingredients together, whisk until thoroughly combined.
  2. Store in a airtight container in a dry place

Serving

  1. Mix 1/4 cup of above mixture with 1 cup of milk
  2. On stove: boil, stirring constantly, until well combined and cooked, ~3 minutes
  3. In microwave: cook for 4 minutes, stopping to stir every 30 seconds to prevent clumping
