Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4c butter, softened (168g)
  • 3/4c sugar
  • 3/4c dark brown sugar
    • NOTE: light brown sugar will not yield the same results
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5t vanilla
  • 2 1/4c + 2T flour (285g)
  • 1t baking soda
  • 3/4t salt
  • 8oz chocolate chips
    • NOTE: I prefer fewer chocolate chips in my cookies. The default recipe calls for a 12oz bag.

Instructions

  1. Beat sugars and butter on medium until creamy.
  2. Blend in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in another bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by tablespoon falls onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 8-14 minutes.
  7. Cool on wire racks.
